And...even more moon images...  ???
Some of these are from 2011, shot with my D2X and Tokina 11-16 2.8, (which is really a great lens!), and a shitty tripod, again... The others were shot with D3X, D3S, D800E and D810, lenses varied.
Please pardon me if I’ve posted a pic or two of these before!  ;)

Øivind ,
Impressive image , feels like the moon can be touched from here

Here is the second blue moon of 2018
D800, 70-300zoom @300mm f/8, iso 3200, 1/1.6 sec
Needed some localized adjustments on the moon to reduce highlights and saturation

Love this shot, Armando!! Really cool with the city lights and the blood moon subtle in the background!!

Patrick, this is a nice series.  The last one is not the moon, I guess?

Paco, I like the overall atmosphere and (presumably) the way the reflected foliage is turned into clouds.

The experimental moon image I posted yesterday was blurry.  Today I shot the moon still at the lower altitude using more proper settings.

Definitely sharper Akira  ;D , very atmospheric capture. the low vantage point with the foreground works very well.

Lots of nice captures Patric and Paco, very creative.

Thank you, Øivind.  I guess the moon travels faster than the sun?  I had to act quickly and get the shot before the moon got too high.

Corn marigold Glebionis segetum and autumn moon. To get the low vantage point required, I was crouching in a nearby ditch. My Sachtler tripod didn't object to the water and I wasn't asked.

Nikon D3, 1200/11 ED-IF Nikkor. I later discovered this lens got a hot spot if the front 122mm filter was installed (which is precisely the situation for this image).

Birna is the last image a composite of two images?
all images on this page are breathtaking and show a lot of creativity, especially the last image of the series made by Patrick. Haven't got a clue how it was made? :)
