Bloody Australian Rules football started up for the winter season here today.  It is a derivatove of Gaelic Football, as played by the Irish.  Rules?  It has no rules, but it does keep up to 100,000 raving drunken lunatics locked up voluntarily for over two hours/game in a stadium, so I suppose that it cannot be entirely bad!

The womens summer Australian Rules competition also finished today.  Perhaps I should just flee Australia and come and live in Norway over what are our winter months!

No, went in from the side as in a lateral movement. Anything ski- or snow-related is serious business in my country, as Børge can attest to. In times of championships there is apparently coverage 24/7 on all official broadcast channels. Enough craze to make you want to flee the country.

EDIT: I didn't mean to be angry at Jacques, I was admiring yet another wonderful image!

This seems like it might qualify as minimalist...

unfocused highlight, 500/8. It could also be in the Unsharp theme but it is not a best unsharp and a single highlight, not even in focus, barely qualifies as a picture, minimalist then :)
