Last night the sky exploded in a very nice display of auroras. As Dave Paterson has showed us, they were visible far south. Here north of the Arctic Circle the northern lights are usually more active and moving fast in all directions, while further south they tend to be more still in the sky, but also a bit more intense in colour, especially purple.
