Signing canvas prints

Anyone know of a pen or marker that will give a good signature on canvas prints?

From what I understand - Acid free, pigment -based (not solvent based) pens  - which are  archival.

Very good ... Depending on whether you use varnish on top or not ... in most cases varnishing is the better solution when it comes to water-resistance abrasion-resitance and UV-protection.

If you sign the print on the front you can sign into the open pores of the print (on the frame) and do the varnish afterwards or you sign onto the varnish, then you need another marker.

I sign my prints on the back ...  see photo ... Everything else ask Thomas Stellwag, member here. His business in framing. He must know.

Thanks for the link Elsa, I went out and brought a Sakura Pigma Micron 01 and a Pigma Graphic 2. The Micron 01 works great. Now I want to buy one white and yellow.

I understand that pencil works well and does not fade, I've seen a lot of prints signed in pencil young and old for that reason!
