Many thanks Luc, the picture was taken long ago with a D200 and AF-S 35mm f/1.8 DX. Interestingly the B/W conversion lets almost disappear the water and makes the bike very visible. The reflection is from the famous water tower in Lucerne.

Very nice.  Love the Jacobs ladder (the rays).

Reminded me of Karl Blossfeldt.  Nice!

Thank you Akira. However, I'm not sure that Herr Blossfeldt would approve of my cluttered composition  ;D

Even if this is a binary image, the representation is very close to what you will perceive with the naked eye in a harsh light as we had today.

Found in my archive files when I searched for 'Iceland'. Minke whales were quickly processed once they were harpooned and hauled ashore. According to news I read today, the nation is going to abandon the whaling industry and virtually no whales have been captured the last years. Thus sights like this should be hard to get in the future?

Technical details Nikon F, Zoom-Nikkor 80-200/4.5. I only found the scan not the negative, so have to assume this was done with Tri-X. A pity as I would have scanned the negative much better these days.

This is today’s capture on BW as I think removing color shows better the birds pose

In front of a religious image in south Spain. Backlight made for an intimate place even if she was surrounded by many people. In camera b&w conversion

This city will become very hot in the summer. Right now is the perfect time to visit up until middle of May
