Bob, I think this is successful due to the excellent way of presenting only some of the details into the zone of sharpness. That makes the head appear even clearer defined.

A few nitpicks about burned highlights on the legs that might have been avoided by reducing the amount of back-light contribution from your flash(es). A minor annoyance but it gains importance when everything else is so perfect..

got it... i can fix that (maybe not for repost).. turns out that black point adjustment in post processing did that.
