that is a good question... turns out that i can "hide" stuff easier with the black background..

this is a different shot... a bit too much flash, but with a white background... it doesn't have the same degree of "pop"

I like most such subjects with a dark background, as I have expressed previously. 
Have you thought of luma-keying a different background into the shot?

Yup, really impressive. I note it is quite a large stack. Very nicely done. Your images a a certain quality to it which really makes it stand out.

There isnt even a comparison between a black bg and a white one

Well done, The detail pops out of the frame Black BG it is, here for this shot, But I think you can get it to work with white as well.
