From my recent travels! I really like the colour of the stone.

You'll find some in France too... :-)

Thomas, you are so right, I have sailed the Main to Frankfurt and a little bit of the Neckar. I liked Mainz especially the Gothenburg Museum, where I got told off for photographing some of the books!

Jacques you are also right of course. I am always amazed at the quality of the masonry crafted by our ancestors with only basic hand tools and block & tackle.

I wonder if the same quality of workmanship is available in this day and age?c

Mike - that place seems really beautiful to photograph - and I agree - the colours are great

Thanks elsa, the main aisle is quite narrow so getting good shot of the wall paintings which are up high is difficult from floor level!

Frank, I don't know if there is one, I presume there is somewhere but I didn't see one! The Organ Thread is always on my mind.  :)

PS apparently it does installed in 2008 but I never saw a sign of it!     http://www.dom-zu-speyer.de/1/music/organs/the-koenigschor-organ/

Nice one, it gives a good overview.  But there is some noise visible. Was it at high ISO?   The left column moves to the left side, which unbalances the interior to my feeling. Was that corrected?

Yep 12800 ISO, it was quite dark in there much more than I remember.

Mike, these and other of your travel shots make me think that I should consider a river cruise!
