A few old images
« on: September 13, 2015, 15:22:25 »
From a time in Jaipur, India, when I was confined to a hotel room, violently sick.  With nothing to do (but wait to get better) I shot some of the flowers in the room... :)

All shot with the M-mount 75 'Lux on the GXR.  All comments & critique welcome.  Thanks for looking.

Cheers!

These are delicate and exquisite.  Glad you got better.

The first one is a very fine artish, pleasing high key. BUT. I would sure go to edit out the underdefined and  "dirty" blobs on the upper right and lower left to create more of a pencil drawing feel with less distraction.

A fine set of images, I believe you did well with these.

Thanks much, Akira-san.

Thanks, Frank.  Appreciate the suggestion - I toyed with removing those at the time I processed the images and for some reason left those smudges in.  BTW, they were raindrops on the window of my hotel room.  You are right, I need to reprocess this one again and remove the smudges.

I like the composition and your treatment, light and airy.

Raaj, have I told you that I never thought flowers could be nice in B&W, especially the very first one.

Apologies for the tardy reply, Jakov.  Thanks much for you kind words.  Apparently high fever puts me in a position to create interesting photographs sometime! :)
