From a long time ago.  Flowers in my wife's container garden pots.  Neither of us recall the flowers involved.

(Ralph Eugene Meatyard did a series called "No Focus".  Maybe I was inspired by that.  Maybe not....)

This one reminds me of a painting:

Agreed Øivind
and a good one that leaves je wondering.

General question to all

Do any of you set out to take any of your images un-sharp?
e.g. do you compose them un-sharp in the viewfinder?
I imagine that would be very tempting with a M/F lens

(I'd assumed that least some of the ones in this thread were just happy accidents that had turned out too good not to share)

Akira, no idea what are the yellow flowers, I was walking in the woods and found them

Øivind, yes , seems like a landscape painted by an impressionist

Colin, if the image is done only with out of focus, yes I can compose in the viewfinder, if blurry due to movement it takes a bit of thinking how the highlights will draw but it is mostly experimenting

another unsharp one, now at the beach , 0.5 sec, f22 , nd3 filter , I had to clean up the dirt from the filter /lens / sensor, and there are still a few left
and no,  it was not an accident =8)

Don't worry.  It's the resulted image that counts!

My normally affectionate little terrier looks ferocious when she lunges for one of her toys.  D700 with 28/2 AI lens.

"Arzuaga" wine on very nice glasses.

Looking at the droplets creeping up the glass, this has a respectable strength Paco
I love the image and imagine that the evening could become less sharp and more comfortable, as further glasses were poured ;)

Nicely done, Paco, very evocative of a long evening on wine.

Do you mean Arzuaga Navarro from Ribera del Duero?
I’m diving deeper into Spanish wines, always interested in an enlightened advice, even unsharp :)

I suggest you have a taste at Priorat wines :)

That´s the one. I also suggest "matarromera" and Emilio Moro´s "malleolus", one of my all time favorites. A very rounded wine.
I do like the "priorato" wines too. I lived in Cataluña 10 years...but are harder and my taste goes better to the Ribera del Duero.
