Our Icelandic horses having a wonderful time in the snow tonight. They show no inclination to stand under the roofed section of the pen, so I guess they enjoy the winter as well

Your image is very interesting.  It almost looks like a sea anemone, but I cannot imagine imaging that with a 500mm.

It is the 500mm catadioptric, with the "doughnut" bokeh. It gives this sea anemone effect on wire like objects, which  suits well the hamamelis flowers.

Paco, this is a superb capture.  It is also geometrically fantastic!

Thank you guys. The set up is pretty simple: nikon d300, 18-200 3,5-5,6, handheld, natural light water and wind. 

   It looked like this. It was a matter of just getting as close as possible. I did rattle like a machine gun for a while and them pick up a couple interesting drops. Turn upside-down for some magic.
