A hug

Hello everyone. I´m overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of the images. Again. Talk about revitalization!


  This is from a walk through a little pine forest with a friend a his two children 2 days ago. Closer up or enviromental hug?

Hugs hold a really special and personal significance for me - therefor I am even more drawn to this image.

Sorry but IMHO the dog is 'misplaced looking' in the second image. So crop works for me

Thank you all for the interest. I personally prefer the closer option but there was -and still is  - other opinions. They are two different takes. My problem was actually with the dog. The father was very moved by the image so I consider my job done in that regard. Thanks Elsa, it is the emotional charge I find interesting.

The second and wider shot for me. I love the dog. The addition of the dog adds an additional 'family' element to the shot. For me, it reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting.

Thanks Gary. She was crying after falling on that tree. "I´m never coming back to this place ever again!" And two minutes later she was runing up and down the little stream with a big grin on her face.
