Start saving up -- again --

Nikon just announced the Nikkor 120-300mm f/2.8 S-Line lens with built-in 1.4X. I have no doubt this new addition to the S-line will improve even the stellar F-mount version. Probably will cost a leg or two?

I'd need a new back or a camera bearer and I'd have to sell my soul to own one.

That looks like a dream lens for live shows too. Very, very sexy  :)

An admirable lens, no doubt.  I'll take a 100-300mm f/4 with VR if or when it comes.

NikonRumors is saying the price is to be around $8000.

In my opinion, if its a Japanese made lens than it's going to be around $11,500.
