Z7ii + 135/1.8 Plena

This one I had only about 5 sec to try to get a decent image. I was in "stationary mode" where I select the focus point manually.
I tried after this image to change to "people". More of this next time I take a walk with the camera.
I can be quite fun to shoot people during Saturday night. A shame I did not have a bit more time to "play" with the girls.

I assume that (AFC, S, People) the camera will try to track moving people and only release when focus is perfect?

But AFC + people will, in release terms, behave like AFC, ie it will shoot when you press the shutter button, even if nothing is in focus.  If you want to ensure focus before the first shot, in the Menu select Focus + Release. Not a setting I use, but I am sure others find it useful.

Focus + Release is the option I use. That is also the reason why the camera often refuses to trigger.......I am sure.
It is more challenging to take image of people as it requires faster action and camera control.
It seems the young ladies gets attracted by the Plena. I will try that again and find out the best camera settings for such images.

looks like a decent lens.

My question. How does the huge chunk of a lens balance on the smallish camera?

For me the Z7ii is large as it replaced the Z50 (which I still have).
The Plena does not feel nose heavy. It is easy to support with the "other" hand and it feels nice to grab around it (good grib).
I think the weight + IBIS makes it a very steady combination.

The release behavior of AF-C is set in Custom settings menu> Focus> a1> on my Z8. The is release priority, release + focus and focus priority>. I would think it's in the same location on a Z7II

I recommend as many do AF-ON only. Press to focus, release to lock.

What is "+ people?" I didn't have that to my knoledge on my D850 and I haven't looked into that as yet with my Z8.
