I love the two sets of mobile users and the stacked red chairs also appeals to me.

Oh how much I wish to go to the British Isles.
The light
The sense of humor
The sometimes unwanted way to make fun of themselves

Always great photographic opportunities too.

And I love the weather. Warm and Wet.

Frank, I think there were some compliments in amongst your message but sadly, Jacques' images were taken in Britanny - not Großbritannien.

Ok, just in case you never saw the TV series Black Adder, there are some typical racial stereotypes in several episodes.
Have a look here and scroll down to the second item in the "Quotes" section:

Cool series! The sign shot is really great! I would pump up the contrast to have darker shadows though :)

As a child I have been to the Bretagne in northern France a lot. In the area of the granit rosé, Tregastel esp.

Agree the signs image has a lot of potential, but some impact is lost by having such a wide framing. Move in closer to get only the garage doors plus the chain in front. Then increase contrast, or alter the black point, to darken the shadows.

The red chairs image is also very good and in fact the overall quality of these pictures is set at quite high level so the author should be proud of himself, then go on to make the outcome even better.

My favourite one is the signs image. But the others is great too. Looks like a place worth visiting.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions, despite being not young I am always receptive to constructive advice :-) I am adding a cropped version as per the comments, making the adjustments I have lost some of the evening light colour but i am interested in reading if you feel this version is an improvement ? All the images I have posted in this thread were taken with the Nikon 58 1.4G.

No need to let the soft and warmth of the evening light go? I'd cut some of the foreground as well.

My favorites are:

Tyre sculpture
starcase down
phoney elderdy

There you are right in Martin Parr terretory.

The graphics dominated shots are also great in my eyes. But for me the tree newly titled stand out.

PS. The women shooting the other women should be taken with
a fisheye from 10cm distance plus 4000 Ws flash....

....just kidding. But the result would be smashing
