Am I ever lost...

I'm shooting H.265 8-bit (MOV), 2160p (3840x2160); 60p and I'm lost.

NX Studio says I need a Codec 1 or something. I'm running NX Studio v1.7.1, 64bit on M1 macs with no problem but Windows 10 isn't happy.

I'm guessing macOS Catalina on an old 27" iMac (2013 Late?) is a lost cause but there is a flicker of hope. They play on the old iMac but jerky on QuickTime.

Does anyone know of an online tutorial to help me understand all this? A link would be wonderful.

Thank you for your patients,

Dave

The video (and audio) player called VLC may be available for your PC and/or your old Mac.  The Mac version color isn't managed as well as Quicktime Player--the colors are always over-saturated when I play Nikon video on VLC on my Mac. But the Windows version of VLC might be fine?
