I did not know about the Canon FP when I had Canon cameras in 1978-79.  Later I had meterless Nikon F's and F2's and liked them much.  I got pretty good a guessing the correct...or nearly correct...exposure for Kodachrome 25.

Hello. The Canon FP was manufactured from 1964 to 1966; it's similar to the FX, but without a light meter. I still shoot with the Nikon F2 and other old film cameras.
