Currently we're experiencing Arctic colds, with ambient temperatures dropping below -20C. Way too cold for my taste, even with a heat mask.

However, we are greeted with the most beautiful delicate pink sky colours at dawn. Makes for a nice contrast to the deep-frozen snow.

I can confirm the low temperatures in southeast Norway at the moment. The low winter sun provides beautiful photographic light almost all day, along with wonderful blue tones and atmospheres.

The residents on the west side of the lake do not get any sun after 10:00 a.m. in the winter, while they look out over the rest of the city of Lillehammer basking in sunlight until sunset.

It also looks very cold !  Nice light.

Still very cold, but we might see a weather change soon(?). Snow levels are pretty normal for this time of the year, though. Thus a sense of normalcy has returned, if we only consider the domestic scene ...

Very early morning test shot with Rodenstock TV-Heligon 50mm f/0.75 on my Z9. 43 frames.

Beautiful picture of the old bridge. Is the sun problem local, as I remember we have sun is Gjøvik longer?

I love the simplicity and the restricted colour palette of this shot.

Thanks, Bent. Yes, the sun problem is local. The hills on the western side of the lake Mjøsa is a bit steeper in the northern end than in the Gjøvik area. Therefore they only have morning sun in the winter. However, the main part of Lillehammer have very good sun conditions.

Woke up this morning to strong winds, "hotter" ambient temperatures (-2C, !!), and loads of fresh snow.

Driving later today will be fun.
