January 2026!
« on: January 01, 2026, 00:03:23 »
Happy New Year, folks!  As a Far East dweller, I'd like to take the privilege of starting this first thread of the New Year.  Wish a prospective and peaceful year to you all.

Post your "blog" contributions here.  No theme (other than what the passage of time creates), no contest implied, a maximum of one picture per day in the actual month for NG Supporters and no more than 8 images per month for NG members.  (since it's the last month of the year 2025, every member can post one picture daily).

Enjoy!

The first sunrise in Tokyo was obscured by the clouds, but the solar power could be seen and felt even better.

In Los Angeles, many head to the beach on New Year's Day. 135 Apo Sonnar, f/4, "split" focus from 2 frames.  It was short pants + sweater weather.

A complete white-out outside at present. Very strong winds and subzero temperatures are non-conducive drivers for asthmatics like myself to venture outside without a heat mask. Still, subjects can be seen anywhere.

The motion of the snow is well-captured, Fons.

I like Fons' photo too. It's scary, It looks like something out of a Murnau film.
