John, I am appreciative of but quite curious about your recent images as posted on NG and taken with older DSLRs.

Can I assume that you are using modern raw file processing on NEF files to get the best out of the image files or that you have spent time and effort in calibrating the colour profiles etc for each camera?  I pose the question, as you seem to be getting superior colours from your images to what  my memory recalls these cameras as delivering in their hay days.  Either way, well done.

Thanks Hugh.

Yes I have stored camera's profiles for each camera in Adobe Camera Raw, so ACR will take an unique profile for each camera (and not the standard one).

Firstly, I only shoot in RAW.
Secondly with regard to the older camera's.  The quality of the RAW's is better. More flexible and they also contain more colours than new Camera's.  (later than D800e and D700)
Thirdly: The shooting is limited because of a limited viewfinder and back-screen, quality can only be judged after upload to a  PC.

Certainly "large"! I do wonder how long it took to create that painting?

Well seen — although, with its size, you could hardly miss it!
