I just dug out my old R3000 and converted it into a pure black-and-white printer with a set of black inks. Everything worked fine for a short time, but now it's starting to smear black blobs all over the paper.
This issue may be the famous 'Epson ink switching valve failure'.  Search it to see photos of the ink blobs are similar to yours. For most users, this spells the end for the printer.

The arrival of another season is inevitable. Just the first small signs visible yet, but colder weather and more snow should be expected according to the forecast. Oh well.
Looks cold but clear.  Nice color.  Did you adjust/change the color hues of the artificial lighting for the photo image?

Not really. The street lights had a touch of magenta not green to them. Probably some newfangled LED lighting.

Sleet, rain, snow, darkness, speed. All rolled into a single image.

Lovely soft expressive light.
We must be a similar latitude Fons, and it's amazing to see so much still growing so well.

Can you guess what happened next
I could see he was building up to this so switched my D500 to "CH" shutter
Shooting video would have been a lot smoother than an animated GIF......
(either way I've probably contravened an NG rule, but at least it wasn't taken on my phone for a change  :P )

Thanks Frank.
He was a skilled performer, making the difficult seem easy
Yet he milked the audience for laughs & drama by apparently missing every attempt,  till he got to the last of his (several) handfuls of toothbrushes :)

Seems so. Had this issue since years when printing PhotoBlack, so I used MatteBlack solely. Did some test prints this morning: no blobs! keeping my fingers crossed.
