Hello everybody,
I am Mario, from Italy.
My main hobby is mycology and I had my first reflex (Nikon F-401x) in 1992 especially to photograph fungi. My first color slides were ugly pictures with the kit lens AF 35-70 f/3.3-4.5 and the built-in flash. I improved a little since then (!) but I still have lots of things to learn.
I like photography in general, but I never developed my artistic sense so much, if I have one. Also because I usually focus on the scientific representation of all the specific characteristics of my (fungal) subjects. From the biggest to the tiniest ones, with photo stacking.
That's why I'm here

I join a sample:
Amanita vittadinii (or better now:
Saproamanita vittadinii). Nikon D5000, Sigma AF 24mm 2.8. Shot at f/22, 1/30 sec, on a small tripod. Autumn 2013.
