The curious mining pattern on a Sagittaria sagittifolia Arrowhead leaf reminded me of the album title 'I took up the runes" :)

The miner is a Diptera fly from the genus Hydrellia, but without the adult insect available no specific determination seems possible. Sagittaria is an unusual host for this genus.

Our local Rainbow Lorikeets (Trichoglossus moluccanus) weren't on their favourite antenna today so I had to make do with a real rainbow. ;D
