Good job of depicting both the thing and the place.

I was thinking "another abandoned project" but your idea is much more positive, Frank!

New preamplifier that landed a couple of weeks ago: Two CV-181 tubes (by Linlai) and two  6Ц4П-ЕВ rectifier tubes (Russian military stock from the Reflector factory 1970s production) - extremely simple circuit, copper signal paths & two fairly heavy transformers.

  Thank you.
It was a beautiful and fun piece by Rachel,  a talented colleague. I wish you could see it

I've done some work with adapted "X-ray" lenses lately. The Kowa 55mm f/0.8 is  lesser well known lens of this kind and unfortunately, due to its broad rear section, cannot be easily forced to infinity focus like the better known Rodenstock Heligon or Oude Delft Rayxar lenses. However, photo opportunities still exist.

Sometimes the extremely fast shutter speeds mandated by these ultrafast lenses mean you capture unseen details.  Like the furling patterns on this Pride flag on a windy day.

Nikon Z fc, Kowa 55mm f/0.8, 1/4000 sec at f/0.8

I hope that embebed image doesn´t count as this is my image for today:
I have started, not so long ago, to try to learn music. Today I had another go at not writing but merely caligraphy.  A work in progress. Still, it does help with reading later and understanding it.

From today´s work, a  few bars of Hayden.
