hi all
« on: June 14, 2015, 15:18:44 »
good to see that many of you just took a short break

Here are people, who caused me to test things out, some even to buy lenses, maybe one or two more than I really would need.
Being fully occupied with work, I make my living out of framing pictures and selling construction machines, I do not post much.
Photography is a hobby, collecting manual lenses provision for old age  ::)
Pressing the shutter happens more often when I meet people with the same sensor syndrome
My place is 1 hour drive from Frankfurt Airport, when I am home it will always be a pleasure to have you as guest(s).
(Following the forums  guidelines i changed from 56DIN to my full name)

You are very welcome Thomas, with or without your familiar nick.

Have you ever tried shooting with 56 DIN material, by the way? Let's see: Tri-X was 27 DIN = 400 ASA. Close your eyes and pretend ASA == ISO (it's not, but a very close cigar, so be it for now).

30 DIN => 800 ISO
33 DIN => 1600  ISO
36 DIN => 3200 ISO
39 DIN => 6400 ISO
42 DIN => 12800 ISO (the current cameras start to get breathing troubles here)
45 DIN => 25600 ISO
48 DIN => 51200 ISO
51 DIN => 102400 ISO
54 DIN => 204800 ISO (Df ends here)

56 DIN = 54 DIN + 2/3 stop => 307200 ISO if my reckoning is correct. Ie. , Nikon D4s or Sony A7R will handle such "speed".

thanks Elsa
I made some experience with visitors from several forae and can tell you, they where all positive, the work you have with preparation and clean up the place afterwards rewards you with a lot of new impressions, interesting insigts, others opinions etc. and if you´re lucky with new friends

thanks Bjørn
no I never tried 56 DIN, it is just my year of production. My highest used sensivity  with film was HP 5 pushing to roughly 33 DIN if I remember right - it is long ago, time I was using a Yashica DSLR

Thomas, I have entertained Ron and his wife, had Ann here also - and I love meeting my photo friends. I wish I could meet more in person.
