New Adapter for those who have kept their AF and AF-D lenses ;)

Doesn't look fast but quite a nice feat to be able to design and produce!
Looking forward to see reviews etc.
Also mentioned here:

To keep the discussion focussed on just the new adapter...

Let us hope that the new Nikon Z version performs as least as well as the one for the Sony bodies.

The Sony LA-FE2 AF Adapter (Nikon-F to Sony-E) version of this adapter seems to have had a fair reception from this reviewer for the later models of the Nikon D lenses in the instance of stills photography on Sony bodies:

It will give new life to the old type AF lenses.
You need an adapter anyway for these lenses to be used on a Z-body.
I have AF 85/1.4D and AF 180/2.8. Both nice lenses.
I also have an AF 300/2.8N which could get new life with such an adapter (if it works with a large lens like this).
I was about to sell it but a realistic price is probably not more than 500 EUR so why not keep it?

It will be interesting to see if the AF functionality is different between the Nikon Z bodies - My guess is that Z( and Z9 will be pretty good although it looks slow in the Youtube videos,,,

Yes, and it will be equally interesting to see what toll the use of the adapter will place on the batteries of the different Z cameras.

Those such as the Z9 or other cameras which are equipped with extra battery capacity via optional handgrips will probably be OK, but smaller cameras with smaller batteries may struggle.  Let us hope that I am wrong here.

Would be nice for the Micro Nikkors 70-180 and 200 f/4 to have the extra AF option..
And also great for the AF-D 50/1.4,  DC 135/2 and 180/2.8 ED D

I am tempted to get one when it is available for Europe.
I guess the adapter can be used as general purpose adapter (not only for "screwdriver" AF lenses).
Regarding draining of the battery in the camera an AFS lens will also "eat" power from the battery but the old AF-system probably requires a bit more power to operate.
Maybe this will cause that price will raise on these old AF-lenses. Some of them have an ok build quality.
