I've been shooting in paparallel with a Pentax K10D mounted with a SMC-A 50mm f/1.2 lens during the week.

From my balcony - first sunny day - crazy you can see some ski tracks on the right side!
Z8 & Z 400mm 4.5 uncropped

The later one with the Zf at close to night:
f4.5; ISO 11'400; 1/30" handheld

Many thanks for sharing those images, Daniel! First of all, great snow-covered mountainscape - especially the mood in the second one! Fantastic level of detail and, yes, it is crazy with those ski tracks - also a bit crazy with handheld at 1/30 but I remember the lens having surprisingly great stabilisation, being fairly light weight and balancing really well on my Z7. It's light and portable enough to bring on a longer hike and its size fits well in my backpack .. once I get a chance to borrow it again  ;D

Misty and cold today...
Z8 & Z 400m 4.5

I was being lazy and shot out of the balcony with a warm lens and I suspect massive thermal effects which resulted in a even more misty picture

Also a great mood in this shot - especially with the extra laziness affected mist  :)

Ruth is giving a lecture on music therapy and gender incongruence.

I'm using a BG40 filter on my full-spectrum modified Z5 to allow adequate visible-light rendering. Not perfect, and I ought to make a calibration profile for this usage. But in a pinch, it'll do.

How long have you been using your BG40?  Mine was deteriorated possibly by the moisture only after a couple of years of use.   :(
