NG Stats on Guest users

Birna/Erik, do we know how reliable the server stats are for "guest" users?

With 750 guests online as I write this it seems the focus  should be on how to encourage them to become members > before attracting fresh eyeballs.   

After seeing this, I had a look.
At 01:20 am in the UK, some 450 guests were listed.
But the subjects were very diverse and some looked very old - see below

At least one post that was 9 years old
The launch of the D780....
I guess if you search for something online and it's in NG, then Google will lead you there.....

I'm wondering if these are people actually connected to the site at that point in time,
or just people who visited in the last "x" hours (or days, or months)

Very interesting, Colin.

I visit as a guest far more often than logging in as member - especially on my mobile. I regularly visit old subjects because there are a lot of inspiration to find.

A lot of the site traffic is caused by "script kiddies". Meaning hackers who run their stupid scripts in order to force their way into the site. Many assume NG is similar to most other sites and use Wordpress or similar, an assumption of which of course always will fail.
