I am a candidate for buying this lens.  I may buy "sight unseen".  I need a compact 28mm for Z that's not the Nikon one.

I've seen no mention of close range correction ("floating elements") on this new Voigtlander 28/1.5, which may affect my interest.

Bought a new copy of this 28/1.5.  Results were disappointing for my uses.  Extremely sharp in the center of the 24x36 frame.  Heavy axial CA that I cannot deal with. Might work Ok if shooting B&W.  Cannot deliver an infinity focus (distant landscape view) shot that is acceptably sharp from side to side at any aperture. This could be curvature of field, so with centrally located subjects it may not matter. I'll post example shots if anyone wishes, but they're boring test shots. I'll wait to see if the recently announced VM 28/2 Apo Lanthar is eventually made available for Z mount.

Thanks for your findings Keith, i read similar thoughts at fredmiranda, an apo version may take a while to produce if ever.

OK, looks like I'll stay with Zeiss 25/2 + adapter. Not perfect either (some backward field curvature) but pretty good, and made a trip to Japan in 2018 so there are good memories attached.

The Zeiss 25/2 is well worth using on the Z cams, even though Nikon prohibits us from using the aperture ring for setting the stop (when used on FTZ).

Yes, that's the one big minus when coming from the Df...
