While coming in to land at Keflavik airport (Iceland), I had not expected to see the volcanic eruption near Grindavik in the distance. The dramatic tilt is a result of haste rather than artistic intent.

Nikon Zf, 105mm f/2.5 pre-AI.

Fine strands of macroalgae (seaweed) through a sun-lit surface of a small pond in the Gardens of the Royal Danish Horticultural Society.

With the combination of high resolving power of the lens (Scanner Nikkor ED) and the high pixel count of Z9, I was able to detect nano black holes on my dinner table. A real surprise discovery  I'd like to share with the NG community.

The image has been subjected to sophisticated PRIMO processing, in order to better trace the emerging jet stream from the minute black hole :)

I've wondered about this for a while Ian, given this airport is the main route in/out of Iceland.
I guess they know enough about the geology of the area plus likely prevailing winds,  to plan for any expansion of the vents.

I'm both confused, and also slightly worried Birna.....

This oak tree is just around the corner from where I grew up. It looks as magnificent as ever.

Cannot see what's growing there, but most stuff of an aquatic nature is interesting :)
