The El Nikkor APO 105mm f.5.6 Revisited
« on: August 13, 2015, 16:25:52 »
Just for fun, I like to march out various lenses and review their qualities. I tend to forget how each lens has its own beauty. In the case of this El Nikkor APO, I forget how sharp and highly corrected it is, and what fine color it has. So I thought I would share a photo taken recently along with a 100% crop that reminds me why I should use it more.

It is mounted on the Nikon PB-4 bellows with a Nikon D810, fixing the front standard and moving the camera with the back standard, a stack using Zerene Stacker. I see there is a copy of this incredible lens on Ebay now for those interested and at a bargain price.

Same price as an APO Lanthar or a new Zeiss 135mm... Resonable for the performance I would say.
