Thanks to Andrea to passing this one to me. Of course I could not resist starting out with IR.  :) This time from Little Grand Canyon in Utah. To make it more interesting I am providing two captures that can be used individually, one or the other, or be combined into a panorama - it is all up to you how much to include, consider all possibilities. As usual I am interested in what can be extracted of colors that harmonize with the subject, but anything goes.

IR and UV are a challenge for my editing skills and my images tend to look boring in comparison with other edits

anyway here is mine, replaced the sky with a shot from my library

Great efforts so far, keep them coming!

I wonder if someone would have a go at a red planet version?  (When moving/inverting the red channel the reds get lost...)

Perhaps I should not lock the minds with a visible shot, but below is a shot of the whole scene indicating the red tones of the rocks that could inspire such a scenario...

colour separation was the goal. And I personally wanted a blue sky, which was there right in the file, found in my L*ab.

For me, the foto seemed to want to be a Moonscape or a Planetscape, but I'm not sure which Moon or which Planet. "-)

Another bump to accommodate possible late contributions.

As there has not been posts in many days, I will let it run for one or two days more and then declare the "winner".

I played a bit around and saw that the photo cleary was taken on Mars.

I wonder if someone would have a go at a red planet version?
Even before I read that :D

In my case the red version (à la zuglufttier) was what PhotoNinja came up with naturally. Yet I felt separation of colours and extraction of details was what Øivind Tøien was asking for...
