Concert
« on: March 23, 2024, 11:13:08 »
Hello

Haïdouti Orkestar featuring Nuria Rovira Salat

Hot-off-the-press - here's a shot from last night at a small concert venue in my 'home' town.

The group were there as a warm-up before the 'Welcome in Tziganie' Tzigane music festival which takes place here at the end of April.

The dancer is magnificent, but in this situation, sadly a bit scrunched up due to a very small stage - she needs space!

Lovely shot. It shows the energy. Spatial arrangement and timing spot on, not an easy task to get so many elements in balance, let alone in a life show. Exposure choice works for me as well.
Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you all  :)

As you've been so nice, here's another shot of Nuria Rovira Salat

(Not bad for ISO 5000  ;))

Have a great weekend

The Kissing Anecdote

Here in France we have a quaint way of saying hello to people we know - we 'fait la bise' - a quick peck on each cheek. Some ares have it better than us - three or even 4 kisses!! (I'm thinking of moving...)

Anyway, when I collected Nuria (yesterday evenings dancer) from the station, as we've known each other a few years, she naturally kissed me.

Later in the evening I was talking to a colleague and mentioned (sadly within hearing of my wife...) that I was never going to wash my lips again  ;)

It must have been this that led to a VERY quiet evening after the concert  ;D

Another gem! I cannot say it any better than Paco: great framing and timing.

ISO 5000 is just getting warmed up these days  ;)

Many thanks - you're all very kind.

Here's another of Nuria, but from 9 years ago...

(I think the only thing to have changed is my camera / lens!)
