It was very satisfying to watch this leaf cutter bee (Megachile punctata) working on her nest at the bee hotel.

The suns shines through the Pont Neuve, the  eastern gate of the 12th century citywall of Boulogne-sur-Mer.  Constructed to catch the sun on the shortest day.

A dirty filter gives an helping hand
