VAT  returns took a lot of time thus I'm lagging behind with processing. Like someone I could mention.....

Anyway, the scene below is something to warm my heart as an avid dandelion aficionado ...

I had a commission for a red listed aquatic plant down on the southern coast today, thus spent more time than I appreciate on trains. I found the species so can make my invoice, and on the return voyage whilst changing trains at Oslo Central station, I grabbed this shot of two young people lost in their own world, oblivious to their surrounding apparently.

The new Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 is an excellent performer optically speaking.  Only wish they had designed the lens hood with a better and more secure fit. Now I have to modify it like Erik 'Dr. Lens' taught me in conjunction with Zoom-Nikkors of the past (in particular the 17-35 & 28-70).

Great Combo.  The 28-300 is a lens that usually delivers.

Heat wave and drought here in southern Oklahoma U.S.. The average daily high in August was 39.5° (103°F), rainfall in the past 30 days less than 0.8 cm.

I've shown a small part of a grove of post oaks (Quercus stellata) where it is considerably cooler during the afternoon hours.

You certainly have found your way around the insects and that 105mm lens :) I'm impressed. No flash?
