My first picture with the newly acquired Z6ii + 50/1.8 S @ f/2.2

Nothing to complain about, except maybe the bokeh (some mild LoCA visible as green fringed, somewhat edgy blur) that is merely good while everything else can be called outstanding. The old Noct blurs better.

Good to see you back again!

It's official, I handed my house keys to the new owners...

Df  58/1.4G
Congratulations John

And I like the shallow DOF, hinting the keys are heading off elsewhere :)

The ''New" House in the blue hour.  Build by an architect of 'Amsterdamse School' in 1938.

Looks cool.  Beautiful complementary colors!

Black coffee. Z6ii, PC 28/3.5 wide open, no shift.

With the Z's, using those antiquated shift lenses is easier than ever (no need to freeze the exposure before applying the shift).

And thanks to all folks who "welcame" me back. As a matter of fact, I was never "gone", but weary because my secluded lifestyle (home office 24/7) offers few opportunities to make interesting pictures...

Otherwise I'm still relatively fit and balanced (though soon 66), and with my kids now facing interesting "careers" or at least jobs, I got a sweet feeling of fulfillment. I wish I could share the feeling face-to-face with you, or around a teapot (kabuse cha, Akira?). Nice also to see new members and others coming back.

With the Z6ii etc., I have the feeling that something got lost (the Df is and remains my greatest camera ever, and is worn out accordingly) but ample compensation is offered. A generational change, of which the Olympus m43 system was a remarkable precursor.

Airy, those Z bodies, specially with manual lenses, you´ll like more the more you used them!

That said, I have been shooting lately with the D300 and D200ir.

Glad to know you keep leading a fruitful life!  And, yes, any face-to-face meetup over a cup of tea or café (I don't drink alcohol...) is always welcomed!
