Northern folks, please don't laugh at me!  Here in Tokyo, the temperature went down to -2 degree centigrade this morning.  It is sunny, but the wind is dry and painfully cold.

No worries, Akira. When I was growing up in the northwest of England, -2oC was a big deal. -27oC before windchill in Canada made me realise how good I had it ;) Funnily enough, just below freezing here is much less bothersome because it is much drier than in England.

That is a great photograph! It looks like the hand of God grabbing the sun.

Looks a lot better, Ian.  The 35/2 AI and Ai-s are fine lenses, and they perform very well on the Z's. And sharp wide open.

Thank you, John. The lesson for me is to slow down and worry about quality first.

The 35/2 surprised me with what it can do. The 24/2.8 did it a few weeks ago. I really must take my 105/2.5 for a spin!

On an related note, I now understand that it takes a slightly different approach in post-processing with the older lenses to extract their best. I am also starting to understand what some here mean by the character of older lenses versus modern ones.

Thank you, Ian, for kind words!  The hand of God looks quite hairy.   ;D

I've found that the wind is more painful to the skin without the snow and the air is drier than in Sapporo where I was born.

Luc, juxtaposing the shadow of the windowpane with Mondriaan's works nicely.  Good idea!

Great shot, Fons,  grim and spooky atmosphere.
