Yes, that's what the MC 105 Z can do, make it much easier to stack and produce fine results.

This is a nice photograph...isolation with soft out-of-focus background flowers. I hazard to guess, however, that the image would be equally attractive if captured with, say, Nikon's long-discontinued 105mm f4.0 AIS micro or similar lens (e.g., the Voigtlander 120mm f2.5).

Similar maybe but not so sure about the Bokeh and the light fall off in the corners...? I have sold the AF-S, AF and MF micro versions but still have the 105/4 in my collection. If time permits I will look into comparison shots with the Z MC. I am sure we have more experienced community members to chime in.
