Yes, great detail on the front bird.

My first DSLR was a D200 (vis) and it also came with the 18-70mm lens.  It worked well for me in good light up to around  ISO 800, but much less so at higher ISO settings and in poor light.

One of the most detailed images I´ve ever got from this camera-lens combination.

Fascinating...Is it a giant leaf (1m diameter) lodged in "normal" sized flowers, or a normal sized leaf (8 or 10 cm) lodged in tiny flowers?

This is a fallen leaf of Tilia platyphyllos Large-leaved Linden [Lime], thus 7-9 cm or thereabouts in size.
