A trip to Norway
« on: August 12, 2021, 17:13:55 »
Suddenly it was possible to travel to Norway, you just have to be vaccinated  ;)
So we (Gunver and I) vent to Norway to visit my 2 cousins.
Some pictures from the different locations, Gjøvik, and Røros.
Z6, D500 and Df

"The white swan of Mjøsa" has left its [winter] coop and steaming happily around Mjøsa. Skibladner is always a pleasure for jaded eyes!! I must, a bit shamefully, admit  that I never have been onboard this vintage ship, only been an ardent -- and distant -- admirer.

Those paths around Rørs certainly look heavily used?

Very nice images, Bent. I lived many years at Gjøvik while growing up but cannot quite pinpoint the location of the images. The rocky terrain with some pine forest is pretty atypical for the area - the cabin image looks like a smaller lake - thinking Skumsjøen, but not quite familiar with it. The ski trail looks much the favorite ski trails we used near Skistua, but again, cannot quite pinpoint location. The one of Skiblander - I am thinking the area to the south -Skreia but could als be across from the area to the north - Biri. And yes I traveled with Skiblander, but I think only once during that time period. Wonderful golden trail colors near Røros!

Hi Øivind.
The cabin is located at Tre vats, so not surprising that you had difficulty pin point the location.
The Skiblander image is taken very slightly south of the city center, on Løfgrens area Bondelia, as the greenhouses are gone sine forever ;)
Glad you like the golden trails :)

Thanks, that makes sense. Less familiar with the Trevatn area, but my first summer job in the school days was at the Bondelia greenhouses! That helped accumulate the funds that eventually lead to the purchase of my F2.

Bent, I enjoy various aspects of Norwegian cities.  Thank you for sharing.  I guess you have another one for the "Organ" thread?  :)
