Silverstone Classic Cars
« on: August 09, 2021, 17:30:11 »
On Sunday 1 August I photographed the Classic Car event at Silverstone Racing Circuit.

The morning was very wet, so full waterproofs for me and the camera (Z7II and 70-200 S).

The weather improved for the afternoon F1 classic cars.

The second image is of Damon Hill doing a demonstration drive to mark the 25th anniversary of his World Championship. The car is the original Williams which he drove that year.

For the Endurance and Mini events I switched to the 80-400 VRII with the FTZ. I was very happy with the AF performance.

Excellent series, looks like a lot of fun, even with a bit of rain!

Super series, a proof that in the skilled photographers hand the mirror less cameras works very well.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I am glad you like them.

The Z7II is a very capable camera, about which I still have a lot to learn.

Here is one more, for obvious reasons it is something of a curiosity.
