Hi all,

Gene from Deep South Texas.  I found this site by following a link on Preview re. Nikon lenses.  I'm retired - my specialties are backcountry ethnographic photography in Latin America.  Have been following Bjorn for 20 years now and glad to have found this site.

In terms of gear I went from FE2 to D80 (which I still use) and D700.  Possible upcoming tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico and I'll be running out to South Padre Island, Texas to get some images.

Hi Gene

It is very nice to see unknown names here as well after the series (not yet finished yet I am sure) of old friends. Be welcome and do not forget to contribute!

Welcome Gene, looking forward to seeing your images!
It would be nice if people could see your name in the signature, since the nickname doesn't provide it, thanks :)
