I have the Tam 100-400 and you need 15 focus adjust figures to input to the lens. Now if you use a ruler or similar this takes for ever.
On the D850/500/750 you have automatic fine focus adjust so in 15 min you can do all the distances/focal lengths required using the auto system and input them to the tap in console . Makes a big improvement for the close up end particularly 400mm which you might use for macro.
Set camera at 0 once the lens has stored the figures. While I have not tried it don't see why you cannot use this with the sigma console for sigma /Nikon compatible (G2 etc) lenses
