I would be happy to join on a trip to Norway, in particular Lofoten. I have been there twice but it would be a different experience with locals who know the territory.  :)

Svalbard would be interesting but I suspect that many of the wildlife photography oriented would want to use most of the time to try photograph polar bears and that would mean those without long lenses might not have the most photographically productive time.  :) I think Lofoten is a better choice because it offers a richer set of subject matter.

At Svalbard there would not be much light pollution I guess ...  so aurora photography potential would be good if the timing is right. But photographer  being eaten by a polar bear while camera captures aurora on tripod doesn't sound like the way I would like to go.

Ilkka - I also dont own anything longer than a 300 f4

and I also want more than Polar Bears - a good combination would be great. Achievable? I simply dont know.

I will try to get the photo though when someone gets eaten  ;) - I dont believe thats likely to happen in a hurry. Unless someone offers..

I am interested, subject to timing.  Nothing before 4 September.

Sorry, this should be nothing before 7 September.
