Given that Voigtländer launched the Zoomar in 1959 and that it was marked made in Germany, while the Zoomar corp. only bought its German company (kilfitt) in 1966 it is not Zoomar which produced its many mount avatars (Alpa, Exacta, Icarex etc). The French authority in matters Angenieux, Rectaflex, Kilfitt etc. Patrice Hervé Pont states that it is uncertain whether it was produced in the Voigtländer or the Kilfitt factories, but does confirm that mr. Back was the creator,

Kilfitt\zoomar did however produce dr. Backs next creation, the Macro Zoomar 50-125 which was definitely available in Nikon mount. The little German book on this by mr. Voigt is not very specific about its production.

Awesome! I didn't know Voigtländer made the first zoom lens! These are cheapish on ebay too. Could make a fun project!
