Just tried to process the initial RAF image (_XT27224) in the latest version of ACR.  It looks very sharp and detailed when I opend first in ACR and sharpen the reviewed image.  However, when I sharpened the image  in ACR as "filter" after I had opened it, the image looks far less sharp, although the details could be seen.

I read this post with the due attention only now and am very grateful to you for highlighting all this, since I was on the verge of starting a trial with Capture one Pro 9.3 with a view to completely switch from Aperture.

This notwithstanding my doubts about database features, interface, workflow and the use of external RAW editors, which I am managing OK in Aperture. I thought all those issues might be worked around after becoming more accustomed to the software, however the Fuji X-T2 is now my main camera and the features not supported for this model are too numerous and too important - it just would not work for me. (also lossless compressed RAW is not supported. WTF?!).

AFAIK it is game over for Capture one Pro. I had been trying to get accustomed to it starting from the free "Express for Sony" version, it seems that I have been wasting my time. Pity...

Simone - just for your information, Capture One Pro 10 has been released and apparently the Automask feature is now supported but still no support for compressed RAF and the other missing features.

No lossless X-T2 RAF support is still a big deal for me, but unfortunately this is general, AFAIK only Iridient supports it.
Anyway CO 9/10 is not enough for me in terms of DAM so I am now trialling Photo Supreme for this task - and will also look at FotoStation before taking a final decision.
Only then will I revisit whether the image editing tools I currently have need to be replaced or complemented by Capture One.

Hello all! I am a Nikon user, but I am tired of heavy equipment. I am walking and climbing in mountains during summer, and now I want lighter gear. I have considered the Olympus OM-D series, but as I sometimes also use my camera in jazzclubs and during concerts, I am a little hesitant concerning the micro 43 sensor. I need decent low light performance. I have also considered the Fujifilm X1 or maybe X2 - at the moment it is possible to get a very good price if buying the X1. However, I have read that Adobe Lightroom do not handle Fujifilm Trans-X raw files very good. The best is a RAW developer called iridient developer, at least according to what I have read on the internet. Problem is this is a Mac program only. I use Windows. If anybody here in this forum have any experience of the Fujifilm X1 or X2  I would appreciate to read about your thoughts.

As with any camera system (and keep in mind that all of them are excellent nowadays) pairing the right lenses with the cameras is essential.  Fuji offers great lenses and a robust file.

I use m43 along side my Nikon kits.  m43 is very capable and if you are interested in learning more about it, checking out some RAW files, let me know.  I do not want to highjack the current thread too much unless that is something you wish to explore.

I will only add that the m43 primes lenses are excellent even wide open, some AF variations as fast as f/1.2, with manual focus lenses being available at f/0.95.
