Beautiful images!  The crop of the lesser crop looks nice.  I would also like to crop the top part with the flamingos in line.

thanks Akira
thank the pope the D800 allows for so much cropping. The 500 is simply not enough as a birders lens

the top row of birds were completely out of focus - so included with the front ones below. The reason why I cropped the lessers - is I wanted to get up close to those red beaks

Thanks, Elsa, for taking time!  I should notice that the flamingos lining up are out-of-focus.   :o

Love the last pano.  This is a gorgeous lineup!

Thanks for taking an interest Akira. Now you can see how prolific they are if you know where to look

Thanks Elsa. I would love to see your less-experienced guests' expressions when you tell them you are taking them to a sewerage! Even so, it remains one of my favourite places in the world, and if my wife ever gets her wish I would certainly spend a fair amount of time there.

Last time I was there, the Pelicans were also a lot less co-operative than when we were there. I guess they are at least partially migratory. Somebody I follow on IG has recently been posting a lot of stunning PIF photos from Windhoek...

Some gorgeous photos, I particularly like the second-last one.

The closeup of the flamingo is fascinating !

even if it looks as if it is chocking on something and the eyes have turned white
