Miam.  Nice pictures. But why these horrible watermarks ? Some in the middle of the picture ?

Thank you and all other posters for your comments.

As for the watermarks. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil as some of my pics are being used without my knowledge or consent.

I bet it takes me (or somebody else) only minutes to "de-watermark" all your pics ..... but, if this makes you feel safer....

this looks disgustingly good ! Mongo's arteries are running for sanctuary as he drools. Mongo has no idea what Latkes are . They look a little like hash browns. Mongo's mother makes fried rice cakes  that look almost identical to these. Made from boiled rice, egg, some bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley and a little seasoning - to die for while they are still hot !!

The images are very good although the focus was not as spot on as per your usual standard in some of the images.

As for the watermark/copyright thing, Mongo is strongly with you on this issue. Photographers should take whatever reasonable steps are available to them to at least try and protect their property - even if there may be ways unscrupulous people can get around it sometimes.

PS- Mr Google has now educated Mongo about Latkes. Interesting twist on an old theme.

In the medical helping spirit of completely ruining Mongo's arteries. I have replaced some pics for better focusing.

I have a vague impression that Mango's Mum is of Italian descent or Italian food fan with very good taste. Mongos' Mum Rice recipe sounds very much as the Italian Arancini which I like very much.
I will make sure to take some Arancini pics for Mango when I visit our Italian Trattoria.

In the mean time, I hope that Mango arteries enjoy the new pics.

Almass, your impressions of heritage are correct but mind you, Mongo has lived in Australia now for 60 or so years. Not sure how much original DNA is left.

As for arancini, we agree - they are delightful and Mongo's mother makes superb arancini. Look forward to your pics of same some day.

The rice cakes Mongo described are very different and are shallow fried in a not to strongly flavoured olive oil and look almost identical to hash browns.

If Mongo lives through these recipes, what is left of his arteries will no doubt thank you. happy fooding and photography.
