Here is a quick and dirty edit from your NEF file
Started the edit in Lightroom where I cropped out the disturbing bits, applied a preset which I developed for my girlfriends D800. The priority of the preset was to bring out the skies in brilliant colors without losing color information in any of the other colors.
Next I adjusted brightness a bit and moved from Lightroom to Color Efex Pro where I added a detail extractor, pro contrast and brilliance/warmth after which I moved back to Lightroom.
In Lightroom I recovered highlights a little, then moved the file over to Photoshop.
In Photoshop I split the original file in a B&W version in which I developed for a contrasty B&W image, and a color version.
I applied the B&W version as a layer over the original file and applied it as luminosity layer at 55%
In the color version I focused on dodge&burn to bring up some more detail from th emountain range, then made another pass of dodge&burn with somewhat more intensity to really bring out the reflections in the water.
Back in Lightroom I decided that I once more needed to bring back some highlight details and finish things up. Exported as JPG and uploaded to Flickr
