RAW editing contest 21#
« on: August 26, 2016, 02:13:02 »
An old image taken with nikon d200 and 17-35 2.8.

A newer image taken with nikon d700 and rodenstock 95 1.4

Choosing an image for other people to play with is proven way more difficult than expected. I hope you enjoy the challenge.

In general I would prefer if we leave it at one RAW file per Contest, because it is much earier to compare results.

I had 7 different files ready to upload. This contests are almost forgotten by now so I don´t think is a bad idea to give some options if that can get it rolling.

A good and new challenge for me, working with a facial close up.
I experienced a lack of skill with the skin tone and masking. Trying to sharpen the hair strands effected the sharpness on the skin.
I cloned out some of the black shadows in the hair, and removed the green in the back ground. It was a detractor for me.
Then I spent a little time on the Blue in the eyes.

I thought about recoloring her hair....
Then I saw the yellow core of the flower
innards are a good match for her eye make up...

Frank, It feels like eyes viewing into a kaleidoscope.
I have seen beautiful book matched stratifications in Stone set out in quadrants in Grandiose Office Receptions, that have a similar appearance as well.
